Q. What's the rain plan?

The campout is rain or shine.

Q. What time should I arrive? When are the activities?

Here's the schedule (the full map is available upon arrival)

Q. What's for dinner?

Sebastian from Mi Casa Foods will be cooking up empanadas and traditional Latin Cuisine. His grub will be for sale throughout the night. You're also welcome to bring your own backcountry stoves, grills, or even food to cook over the campfire.

Note: it's a 10 minute walk from the parking lot to the campground so pack accordingly.

Q. Drinks?

The water is potable (there are even bathrooms!) so it's easy to refill so please bring a water bottle. We'll also have beer from Sierra Nevada and coffee from High Brew Cold Brew.

Q. Shuttle? Car? Help!

First off, there are two types of tickets 1) general admission 2) general admission with transportation. For those of you who chose #2 and paid the extra $20 for transportation:

-We sent your emails to ReachNow, they will be emailing you a code. With that code you will be able to download the app and redeem for a 24-hour car rental. Their cars are parked all around Brooklyn and are brand new and super shwanky! Note: if you do not get a code by Thursday at noon... let us know and we'll double check.

-If you chose the shuttle, the time (2:30 or 3:30) is the time we are picking you up from the Staten Island Ferry St. George Terminal (SI side!) that means you'll be looking to leave Manhattan on the 2:00PM or 3:00PM.

-If you forgot to sign up for transportation, we recommend carpooling (use the FB group!) or taking a Lyft the campgrounds. It's about a 15 minute ride and, especially with a group, fairly similar in pricing to our ticket.

Q. I purchased a shuttle pass, where do I go?

We will meet you at Passenger Pickup in a large 15 passenger van. Here’s a map circling said passenger pick up /drop off area: http://imgur.com/kwlbGpd. To get there, you'll follow the masses as you get off the ferry. In the main terminal hallway you'll see a bunch of "ramps". Turn left and walk all the way to the very end past the A ramp. At the end of the hallway there's a staircase on your left heading DOWN. At the bottom of those staircase is passenger pick-up.

Q. Can I drive myself?

Yes, there is parking on site. **Please do not use the Google Maps address for Kaufman it will lead you astray!**  For GPS use: 1215-1251 Manor Rd, Staten Island, NY you will see the entrance to the "JCC camp" across the street from the school. That's where you turn.

Once you park you'll see a path on the left hand side of the lot leading up to a lake where check-in is.

  • Sleeping bag and sleeping Pad
