Appalachian Mountain Club
We hope to see you at the Appalachian Mountain Club's Open House on June 23rd from 5:30 to 6:30, in the AMC's NYC Program Center on 5 West 63rd Street. You will learn about our hundreds of local activities taking place this summer and local facilities, including the Fire Island Cabin and Mohican Outdoor Center.

Central Park Nature Associates

Summer is the season to be outdoors and the Greenbelt, 2,800 acres of parks and trails in central Staten Island, offers a spectrum of recreation, cultural, nature, family and environmental education programs. Go for a hike or trail run within NYC limits and feel as if you're in the Catskill mountains! Return for one of our seasonal trail races, nature walks, theatre, music and dance performance, pumpkin festival, blue jean ball - events that take place throughout the season.
Hudson River Park
The Hudson River is calling! Come to Hudson River Park on Manhattan's Westside for fishing, guided nature walks, waterfront orienteering and bike repair workshops. October 5th 11am-3pm Hudson River Park and New York Hall of Science are hosting SUBMERGE!: NYC Marine Science Festival - a free, day-long science extravaganza devoted to raising awareness about our coastal waters at Pier 26.
The Lower East Side Ecology Center
Coming up, summer 2014 with the Lower East Side Ecology Center: e-waste recycling events, fishing clinics, composting workshops, kayaking, environmental education, East River Park stewardship, gardening, and more!
