Join us for NYC’s only trail ultra: the 6-hour Salomon Ultra Run. The clock will be set for 6-hours and you (or your relay team) will need to run as many laps on our 8k course as you can.
Then you get to relax in a hammock, do yoga, and cheer on the 5K runners as they head out for their race. Everyone joins together at the end for beer and a live show.
How long is the course?
The course will be an 6-8 kilometer loop on trail
How long does this race last
You will have 6 hours to do as many laps as you can. This will be a chipped race and you'll be able to see each split after the event is finished.
What type of running is this?
Expect rocks, roots, and uneven surfaces on 80% of the course. There are also a few sustained hills for you to enjoy.
Can I create a relay team?
Yes! Relay team's can have anywhere from 2 - 5 people.
We will have two aid station with water and snacks.
What if I don't finish?
We don't care, you're still awesome.
What if I do finish, really fast?
You'll likely get a prize. Each of the following category winners will receive prizes from Salomon:
Fastest Male & Female up to 35
Fastest Male & Female 35 & over
Fastest "first timer" (must finish all six hours)
Plus, The Fastest Relay Team will get a Salomon and OutdoorFest combined swag bag!
How do I register?
The Salomon Ultra registration is done via UltraSignUp.com. You can also choose to "add" camping when checking out there. Note: since the race starts early on Saturday we are opening the campgrounds to ultra runners only on Friday night.
The Salomon 5K
This annual Salomon 5K Night Trail Run will offer a whole new twist to your running. At dusk the stretch team will come out and get you started, as the sun goes down and your headlamps (REQUIRED) go on. As night falls, it's ready set go for 5 kilometers on the trails of the Staten Island Greenbelt.
After you finish kick back with some water, then head to the stage in the woods, sip some cold brews from Sierra Nevada and dance at our live show.
Best 5K ever? Probably.
What gear do I need to join?
Solid sneakers and a headlamp.
I usually like longer distances, will this be challenging?
Racing in the dark on trails is challenging but if you're looking for a little "extra" try our 2019 Salomon Ultra Run.
I'm a beginner, can I join?
Great intro to trail running but not for beginner runners.
We'll be awarding prizes to male and female 1st, 2nd, and 3rd!
Can I camp?
Running registration is included in all "All Access" campout tickets. If you only want to run and not camp, please choose the Day Pass.
