Kayak Around Governors Island (Friday Trip)

Kayak Around Governors Island (Friday Trip)

Join Red Hook Boaters for another year of guided kayaking adventures for a cause! Their expert guides will lead you on a 2 hour tour leaving from Valentino Pier in Red Hook heading toward Governors Island - the largest car-free green space in New York City. Upon return to the beach, there's wine, cheese and one of the best sunsets out there as it sets directly behind the Statue of Liberty.

Please note: Kayak tours are subject to weather conditions. In the case of extreme weather we'll reschedule but if possible we will adjust course slightly to get you out on the water (exploring the Brooklyn coastline perhaps). There are no refunds.

The park faces directly West and has a stunning view of the Statue of Liberty.

Friday 6/9 5:30PM - 8:30PM | Rain Date: Wednesday 6/14 5:30PM - 8:30PM

Location: Louis Valentino Pier, Red Hook, NY Google Map

The Red Hook Boaters

The Red Hook Boaters are an all volunteer non-profit that provides free kayaking in New York Harbor on Weekends for the general public. We are dedicated to expanding the use of New York's waterways for recreation and doing environmental awareness programs in the Harbor.

We use these private trips as a fundraising vehicle to support our free programming which takes place in low income neighborhoods.
