Head to Jersey (it's great, we promise) for a trail race. The first of this series is this Saturday and includes everything from 5K to 21K at Morristown's Lewis Morris Park.

And if you're feeling extra energetic after the race, take a small detour to Jockey Hollow (seen on the map above marked as National Historic Park) to check out the historic Revolutionary War solider's huts.

A note on transportation: You can take NJ Transit to Morristown in about an hour. From the station it's a 15 minute uber ride to the park.
