Year in Review 2016
Another year in the books and so much has happened, thanks to ALL of you who got there and tried a new sport, shared your beta, helped clean up a beach and on and on. Here's a brief recap of our favorite 2016 moments:
CORE Conference bringing together the leaders of the outdoor industry in NYC to discuss, plan, and connect around issues and opportunities for more outdoor recreation in our city.
Mappy Hour goes to SXSW! We were given a chance to show off Mappy Hour to almost 100 attendees of the famous South By Southwest conference in Austin.
We worked with the Brooklyn Boulders Foundation to bring the second iteration of I AM ADAPTIVE an adaptive-style climbing competition for everyone (including a few pro-athletes!)
April - June, 2016
Pop Up Mappy Hours take over the country with events in San Francisco, Palo Alto, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Boston, Santa Fe, D.C. New York City, Calgary, San Diego, and Austin.
Another epic OutdoorFest NYC with everything from a headlamp trail run to surfing to volunteer activities.
Green travel publication offMetro joins the OutdoorFest family, becoming a place to share great itineraries and stories of adventures sans car.
The Mappy Hour Community Hub launches with a brand new way to connect with your fellow outdoor enthusiasts both within your own city and in other cities with Mappy Hour hubs and we got a shout out in Outside Magazine.
As we head into 2017 we plan on continuing to build this amazing group of outdoor enthusiasts and support the outdoors we get to enjoy.
A final note: OutdoorFest could not be without the support of our sponsors so a huge OF thank you to all of our sponsors including our Presenting & Supporting Festival Sponsors including: The North Face, CLIF Bar, Sierra Nevada, Victorinox Swiss Army, Life is Good, and Therm-a-Rest your support is hugely appreciated.
